Building upon our long-term relationship with UK Power Networks (UKPN), Falco has been awarded a new contract for Civil & Minor Works. The three-year contract, which was awarded following a thorough competitive technical and commercial selection process, is with UK Power Networks Services – the contracting arm of UKPN which operates in the unregulated sector for clients such as Airport Authorities, the Ministry of Defence and other large blue-chip clients.
The long-term agreement covers the South and East of England and has the option to extend by a further 2 years. The work will involve both planned and unplanned general civils and minor construction works and will include streetworks excavations, substation bases, pits, ducts & cabling.
Success in a concurrent competitive qualifications process for Thames Water resulted in us being appointed as an Approved Supplier for the network operator’s small civils construction works across all of its working areas. The ‘Small Project Work Runway 0’ capital procurement strategy runs for the remainder of AMP7 (to 31 March 2025) and into AMP8 (2025 to 2030) to provide a delivery vehicle for civils repairs and maintenance of Thames Water’s water and wastewater sites up to an order value of £250k.
Falco’s Support Services Director, Alan Seyfi commented on the awards:
“Our success in winning these contract supplements reflects the hard work and commitment that has been shown by our teams delivering the current frameworks over a number of years“, he said, “These developments provide us with an ideal opportunity to build sustainable future growth by leveraging our existing track record for reliability and professionalism to broaden the scope and value of our offering to established clients.”
