Description: Falco were appointed by Agility Alliance KCD (a partnership between Kier and Clancy Docwra which carries out projects on behalf of Thames Water) to install a new 1210 Flip pump into a new precast chamber in Tharp Road, Wallington. This was to provide sewer surcharge flood protection to six properties on Demesne Road which had a long history of flooding.
Through our Powercare Framework with UKPN we were coincidentally also engaged to provide the excavation works for the new power supply for the new kiosk sited on the side of the road.
We documented our proposed methodology with reference to drawings and designs generated by M&E consultants Aecom and the excavation sequence from KCD. Falco provided the M&E elements of the Flip Installation through its current Flips Repair and Maintenance Framework (FA1480) with Thames Water.
The works were commissioned and checked as they progressed. This was controlled using our Flips Pump Installation and Inspection Record Sheets. Falco carefully planned and project-managed the works to enable us to coordinate both activities through two Frameworks so that the pump installation and commissioning were streamlined. Our ability to work across both disciplines and excellent relationship with KCD’s team onsite led to a very efficient on-site delivery with a high level of customer satisfaction.
On completion the works were independently inspected and sign-off jointly by KDC and Thames Water.
Client Testimonial
This was an outstanding project. Thanks to Falco's team who worked with ourselves and other third parties such as Drax in a very professional and competent manner to get this done as per Thames Water requirements
