Falco Construction celebrated its 15th Anniversary in style with a celebrity golf day in March.
Ex-Spurs footballer and now the company’s brand ambassador Mark Falco and Managing Director, Brendan Griffin, were joined by two sporting legends, former World Boxing champion John Conteh and World Cup Winner Ossie Ardiles as well as a number of client contacts for a hugely enjoyable day at the prestigious Grove Golf Course in Chandler’s Cross, Hertfordshire.
Guests included Bryan Welsh, Construction Manager at UK Power Networks (UKPN) who won our mini-golf newsletter competition in December.
The day started with breakfast at the clubhouse followed by an 18-hole round of golf at the luxury course which staged the World Golf Championship event won by Tiger Woods in 2006, as well as the British Masters in 2016. Players were arranged into three groups of four:
Team 1: John Conteh, Mark Simmons (UKPN), Jonathan Grove (PGA), Kevin Parcell (Morrisons)
Team 2: Mark Falco, Brendan Griffin (Falco), Dave Tann (Morrisons), Rick Blyth (Clancy)
Team 3: Osvaldo Ardiles, Colin Lambert (UKPN), Bryan Welsh (UKPN), Andrew Wolfe (Morrisons)
Falco’s Director, Alan Seyfi, acted as caddy and buggy-driver for the players. The day concluded with lunch in the clubhouse Stables Bar, a few drinks and an opportunity for selfies with the stars and some stories of past glories.
“It was a truly great day filled with camaraderie amongst our guests and sporting celebs,” recalls Alan Seyfi, “The golf was played with a winning mentality but great team spirit. Our celebrity guests were fantastic in sharing photo opportunities, signing memorabilia and regaling us with some memorable sporting yarns”.
MD Brendan also enjoyed the occasion: “The Grove proved to be the perfect setting for us to celebrate Falco’s milestone,” he said, “A great day of golf combined with good food and great company. We are looking forward to a rematch on Falco’s 20th Anniversary”.
